Johnny's history and a Photo!!

E-mail Print PDF

We are very fortunate to have received an email from a descendant of Johnny's Uncle George Sameul Staples Snr., who farmed at Mt Barker, then at Prospect Hill (near Bull Creek) until his death in 1902. Apart from extensive information about Johnny's family from his Grandfather down, we now have, at last, a photo of Johnny and his brothers, taken sometime between 1908 and 1919.

The Johnny Staples story is being edited at the moment, and there still remains a gap in Johnny Staples' history. There is a suggestion that for about two years, he, and a brother spent time in New Zealand before he popped up in Adelaide. More later... but there he is - second from the right.
